Fansteel American Sintered Technologies is a full service supplier of Powder Metal (P/M) products, equipped to handle all phases of design, engineering and manufacturing requirements.

Molding press ranges include 30, 45, 60, 100, 200 and 550 ton capabilities. These presses will produce a P/M component up to 5.4 square inches of projected area with speeds in excess of 1800 strokes per hour.

Sintering furnaces are continuous belt driven with nitrogen and hydrogen atmospheres and have production capabilities up to 400 pounds per hour.

Sizing or Coining 45, 60, and 100 ton presses are fully automatic with speeds exceeding 6500 strokes per hour.

Resin Impregnation prepares parts for plating and also enhances machinability and sealing properties.

Oil Impregnation provides life long self-lubrication for bearings and rust protection for other structural parts.

Quality Control is monitored by modern practices including ISO 9001-2000 procedures.

AST offers efficient production of P/M components in a variety of metals. Materials available for production include: iron, iron-alloys, steel, copper-infiltrated iron and steel, bronze, stainless steel, and brass.
