step 4: finishing department
Finishing Department

The shell is removed from the castings. Gates are ground. Parts are cleaned, inspected, and packaged for shipment.

Equipment includes:

  • K/O hammer
  • Automatic gate removal machine (KLK)
  • Three cut off saws
  • Kolene caustic soda ceramic removal system.
  • Shot blast capabilities utilizing stainless, aluminum oxide, steel, and glass bead shot
  • Drill and tapping equipment
